Skinny World

"SKINNY WORLD" is a three-minute two-dimensional experimental animation of the stream of consciousness. The "SKINNY" in the title represents death, decadence, and decline, as well as the framework, order, and essence, which are very similar to the characteristics of cities. "WORLD" represents cities, society, and the world. The short film does not have a clear plot, but uses a series of surrealistic shots to metaphorically depict some urban social problems and the author's personal emotions and views on oneself, the city, and society.

HUAXU YANG | CN

Director HUAXU YANG, born in August 2000 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2D animation from the China Academy of Arts in June 2023. HUAXU YANG currently resides in Yokohama, Japan and is studying animation at the Image Research Department of Tokyo University of the Arts. HUAXU YANG is passionate about creating surrealist animations and illustrations.
