Passengers
An immersive, sound, and light experience, Passengers is a suspended journey between past and future, a metaphor for the epochal change we are experiencing. Designed as a rite of passage, the work invites us to cross a threshold and explore both our individual and collective future. The itinerant installation, placed inside a shipping container, enhances the site on which it is displayed, creating a new kaleidoscopic perspective. The interior space, made of mirror and light play, atomizes and multiplies the environment based on the viewer’s point of view. It is a contemplative and introspective experience where geometric abstraction responds to the viewer’s physical movement, aiming to create a sense of detachment from their own body.

Guillaume Marmin’s installations and performances explore the connections between light, sound, and space. Influenced by experimental cinema and kinetic art, the artist is engaged in a quest for moving forms, using the most contemporary tools in his work. He seeks a common language between images and sounds— a synesthetic alphabet composed of rhythms, contrasts, and refined shapes. Whether inspired by scientific inquiries through collaborations with researchers or by mysterious symbolism, all his creations, in their own way, question our relationship with light.
