Brute Force

Brute Force explores how our knowledge-making practices affect the world. From the interference patterns of neutrons to data centres and salt lakes, the film captures how our world’s complexity collides with the simplified rationalities of our digital age.

Felix Lenz | AT

Felix Lenz is a research-led artist and filmmaker based in Vienna. Their work investigates the geopolitical, ecological, and technological dimensions of image- and knowledge-making practices, as well as their response-abilities. Lenz’s work has been exhibited and awarded internationally. In 2024, they received the Austrian Outstanding Artist Award and in 2025, Lenz represented Austria at the Triennale Milano International Exhibition. They are currently teaching at Design Academy Eindhoven.

Ganaël Dumreicher | AT

Ganaël Dumreicher (LU & AT), born in 1996 in Vienna, is a film director and composer. Dumreicher’s films have been showcased at various international film festivals and exhibitions and received several awards. He studied Transmedia Art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and experimental composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
