Digital Art and Cinema Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens

Τhe works presented are emerging though the meeting of sound, image and virtual experience, as this is formed through the classes of Sound Art, Video Art and Virtual Reality of the Digital Art and Cinema Department. They have been developed in the framework of the educational and artistic process of the classes taught by Alexandros Kontogeorgakopoulos and Katerina Antonopoulou.

The choice of works leans on two basic axis: on one hand the time proximity with emphasis on the recent art production and on the other hand to the possibility of their inclusion to the specific gallery space. Under this framework the chosen works are using various mediums such as screens and VR headsets.

The works move between sound and image, focusing on visitors experience and the perception and participation of the work.
