Music Toy Revival Workshop
Do you have an old electronic musical instrument or a toy with sounds that you feel is no longer useful? Bring it to our old electronic toy upcycling workshop and breathe new life into it! Transform it into a new, unique, and quirky electronic musical instrument with hundreds of brand-new sounds. You will discover what’s hidden inside your electronic toys, learn how to repair them, and find out how to play with them using simple electrical tricks. The transformation of your old toy will thrill you, and you’ll be playing with it for a long time to come!
This workshop is aimed at ages 7-12 and introduces children to the world of electronic device recycling and creative modification through electrical interventions (hardware hacking, circuit bending).
Children are invited to bring an old, disused sound or musical electronic toy from home. Under the guidance of workshop facilitator Tasos Stamou, they will transform it into a unique electronic device capable of producing paradoxical and experimental musical sounds.
