Oxymoron
Oxymoron VR is an interactive immersive virtual reality experience that explores the coexistence of two contradictory yet interdependent worlds, Plastotopos and Skiotopos. The two worlds unfold as parallel manifestations of a unified “reality”, where superficial euphoria, overconsumption, and constructed positivity coexist with decay, inequality, and disintegration. The experience unfolds across twelve scenes, which the viewer actively explores, with the ability to move dynamically between the two worlds, experiencing transformation as a spatial condition. During the journey, a Large Language Model (LLM) operates as the “voice” of each world, allowing the viewer to pose questions and receive responses in real time. In this way, the experience forms an open field of interaction, where meaning is not predetermined but emerges through the viewer’s active engagement.
