NAMTAR
Namtar unfolds in an alien purgatory—a world shaped from dreams—where rebirth is not salvation but an endless cycle of transformation, decay, and becoming. Set within a psychedelic, color-saturated landscape that feels both grotesque and mesmerizing, the game explores metamorphosis as a violent yet necessary force, exposing the discomfort and vulnerability of change alongside the fragile beauty of nature in constant flux. This vision is realized through a fully hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animated action-adventure experience with bullet-hell elements, born from visual experimentation across multiple graphic forms; every character, environment, and effect is uniquely illustrated, creating a tactile, ever-shifting world where horror and elegance coexist through relentless motion and combat.
Ilianna Kamtsiora and Konstantinos Mikroudis | GR
Ilianna Kamtsiora is a multimedia artist from Greece working across animation and mixed media, blending visual storytelling, motion, and experimental digital techniques rooted in graphic arts, fine art, and game development. Her practice moves fluidly between illustration, animation, interactive visuals, and world-building, using storyboards and animatics to shape immersive, narrative-driven experiences. Defined by surreal sci-fi and psychedelic, dreamlike aesthetics, her work features otherworldly characters and worlds that explore themes of rebirth, transformation, and adaptation through emotional and symbolic imagery. She juxtaposes body horror and visceral gore with beauty, nature, and floral motifs, creating tension between decay and growth, discomfort and elegance, and through layered mixed-media forms, she investigates liminal states and inner change, forming a distinct and evolving artistic language.
